Cos
This fall I’ve been very bullish on Cos. I’m impressed with their quality, many of their fabrics and the styles have hit the mark for fall. I’ve made quite a few recommendations already for them but I’m going to double down and give you some more. Why, you may wonder. Because this fall’s Cos collection fits nicely into my narrative of wardrobe building and buying quality for the long term with the bonus of not breaking the bank. Also, recently a client informed me that she was not aware of Cos. I just assumed everyone knew Cos, so for those of you who don’t or have not bought anything from them, I’m here to spread the word. This is not for affiliate links, I genuinely feel you get a lot of value and style from Cos with pieces to build your wardrobe and enjoy for years.
I believe wholeheartedly in buying items from a diverse range of prices, as long as the quality is there. In clothing you usually do get what you pay for, though not always, especially in the designer realm. You often pay a hefty premium for the name, so before you plunk down your card, read the content label often hidden inside, sewn into the side seam. Cos is not going to have the same quality of fabric as Valentino or The Row but they have been offering some solid woolens. For example: their double-face wool which is made from 60 wool and 40 Lyocell, a semi synthetic fabric derived from wood pulp cellulose. The look and hand feels like 100% wool and lyocell is eco friendly and biodegradable.
