Hi friends,

Before we get started, I wanted to alert you that Bergdorf Goodman is having their designer sale with up to 40% off. I love to stalk my favorite designers for shoes, bags, and accessories there. They also have a lot of clothes, though sizes are limited. Here are some of my favorites.

Love the color of this plush cashmere sweater from Guest in Residence, a roomy belted leather tote from Toteme, next-level flip flops from Giuseppe Zanotti, Tom Ford sunglasses, and the perfect suede shoulder bag from Toteme.

As I write this, it is our third day in Spain. Right now I’m here with my brother and his girlfriend. The Mediterranean is in view, it’s sunny and 70. So no complaints here.

On Tuesday, we visited the well-preserved medieval town of Pals, about 8 kilometers from Begur, where we’re staying. Pals dates back to the 7th century and is remarkable in how well preserved it is today. By the mid-20th century, the village was practically abandoned and in great disrepair. From 1948 to 1978, the village underwent a complete restoration, an effort spearheaded by a local doctor and surgeon, Dr. Jaume Pi i Figueras. The historic core was declared a Site of Historical Interest in 1973.

We entered an exitied the old town of Pals from here.

Pals has a remarkable history. The village is situated on Mount Asprey. The original castle, which dates back to 889, loomed over the village. A market was added to Pals in 1293, and a wall was built to enclose the town for protection. The walls were further fortified a century later when pirates of the Mediterranean, particularly from North Africa, posed a significant and ongoing threat.
