Hi Friends,

I have, shall we say, a more succinct post for you today. My life is already upended by the kitchen renovation for which demolition starts today. Wish me luck. I hate living in chaos, and chaos is what I’ll have for the next month or more. This is the first big step in finally decorating my apartment. The kitchen and dining room are first up. Then I want to have the front hall wallpapered. Next comes the living room, and finally the bedroom. I’ll be chronicling the entire process here exclusively for paid subscribers. I feel like I know many of you and welcome your comments and ideas. I’m also happy to share any resources; feel free to message me.

Moving on…

I’m just starting to parse all we’ve seen this last month of Fall 2026 shows. One thing that I couldn’t help but notice was how many black suits were on the runways, particularly in Paris and Milan. Here are some of my favorites, and you may want to look at my recent post on black suits in case you missed it.
