I have to be honest, I wonder what Carolyn Bessette's family thinks of a website that is making money off of her name. Yes, there have been books written about her/her and JFK Jr/her style, but a shopping site? "Have you shopped Bessette lately?" "Oh, I got it on Bessette". It makes me uneasy, but I guess I'm the only one.
You raise a very important point. I imagine they intended to honor her, but I agree the commercial aspect of using her name is questionable and potentially painful to the family.
How funny that we both came across Bessette in the same week. I didn’t see a Vogue piece but came across via LinkedIn and old Matches colleagues promoting it. Must look up on Vogue now…
Vogue posted something about it on the 11th with a fairly in-depth article. I like their concept, kind of an online sample sale. I refuse to wait in a line for a sample sale, which is what it's come to in NY. Always nice to hear from you!
