Jolain! As an Italian, my heart was beating so fast when I read Marta's name in the title. She was such an icon and the queen of Porto Rotondo, a beautiful little village where the Italian elite like to spend their holidays, in Sardinia, where I come from! Apparently, Marzotto's parties were the most coveted in the entire nation; she organised them like no one ever did!

Beautiful article, can't wait to read the next part!

Giulia, Thank you so much for your comment! I love your insight as an Italian and local of Sardinia. She was a national treasure, so chic and full of life. Have you read her memoir? I wish I could get it in English. Do you know if any books were ever published on her homes? I can only imagine how fabulous they must have been.

I haven't read the memoir but after your post I will definitely do! There are multiple books that collect pictures of homes in that fancy place of Sardinia but none about Marta's villas only. Apparently she also had a beautiful moroccan one, I looked it up online and it's just stunning!

I did see pictures of her Moroccan Villa, absolutely stunning! Also read she willed it to her granddaughter, Beatrice who is extremely chic as well!

Hi Camilla,

So glad to hear this. As I was writing it I was thinking no one would be interested, but the response has been great. More to come for sure!

My pleasure! I derive so much inspiration from people like Marzotto and I wasn't sure if people would be interested. I'm very pleasantly surprised and will continue to do profiles like this. Style is an expression of our personalities; some people just really get it right! Thanks for reading and commenting.
