Looking at fashion shows is like reading tea leaves, swirl the tea around, dump the liquid, and read the residue left in the cup. I don’t look at fashion shows to make a mental shopping list. They’re more for inspiration and a peek at where fashion is heading. It’s up to you to read the tea leaves as it pertains to your style. With the fall shows wrapped, here are my initial takeaways for what I’m interested in wearing this fall or sooner.

Big shoulders were everywhere, but before you jump on board, a word of caution; unless you’re very tall and thin, don’t go there, it will make you look shorter and heavier. Go for a strong shoulder but less exaggerated to get the feel without blowing your proportions to hell.
