The richness of the colours is striking but what's even more fascinating are the hairstyles. They have a look of Elizabeth Taylor playing Cleopatra. Of course the looks are theatrical. If I'd just looked at the photographs I don't think I'd have identified them as late 1960s. Interesting.

Hi Jan, Reading up on Henry Clarke I learned he travelled with two models, production assistants and a hairdresser. The hairdresser deserves full credit for these magnificent sculptures in hair, natural and no doubt hairpieces galore. I see the Liz Taylor vibe in all her Cleopatra glory. I just find the whole aesthetic totally glamorous. Toned down, fully applicable for now.

Yes they are glamorous. I often look at the online red carpet photos for award ceremonies etc and there are few outfits that make me say Wow! in a good way. I'm all for designers experimenting and breaking boundaries but many of the stars, or wannabe stars, wearing the outfits look more as if they are auditioning for a pantomime or a revival of The Rocky Horror Show.

I agree. To much attention grabbing not enough great style that reflects the person. Though I think Zendaya gets it right often.
